Mil Spouse Friday Fill-In (compliments of Wife of a Sailor)

1. Have you (spouse) ever considered joining the military and what do you think of dual military couples? submitted by Project Army Wife
We have tossed around the idea of me joining the Army through the AMEDD program, and it is still an option, however i think I have other things I want to do with my life. I also like just being able to support my husband and travel the world with him. I have a lot of respect for dual military families. I know it isn't for the weak.

2. What is your idea of a perfect Sunday afternoon? submitted by A Few of My Favorite Things
Sunday has always been our favorite day :) When we were in the states we always had lunch with my mom and spent the rest of the day together catching up from a busy week and getting ready to start another one. Now that we are in Korea (if my hubby is ever off on a Sunday) we like to sleep in a bit, go to brunch and then spend the day relaxing and catching. Sometimes a nice walk through the market is fun :)

3. What do you usually do for the 4th of July holiday? submitted by Anchor’s Away
If we were back in the states we would definitely be having a BBQ with friends and enjoying the outdoors, of course with fire works :) The past 2 we have been in Korea, and my husband has worked, so we haven't gotten to celebrate..

4. What have you been doing to get yourself bathing suit ready for the summer? submitted by Not Just an Army Wife

Not enough due to the weather here :( I gotta get on that, however and get ready for our trip to Hilton Head Island in September!!! As soon as I can I'll be doing lots of walking to tone up :)

Mil Spouse Friday Fill-In (compliments of Wife of a Sailor)

1. Do you or your {spouse} ever wish your {spouse} was in a different branch of the military?

We are extremely happy being Army ~ I've heard my hubby a few times say, "Maybe I should have joined the Marines", but I'm pretty sure it has only been when he is really pissed at the Army. LOL

2. What duty station(s) are on your “No Way, Hell No, Not Going, Have Fun Unaccompanied” list and why?

After spending the past 17 months in S. Korea, I would NOT come back here, unless we were stationed in Area 2 or further. That being said, I am blessed to be here with him, but the area we are in is just not ready for spouses and families yet.

3. If you could be one age forever, what age would you choose and why?

Hmmm.... I think I would go back to 32, it was a very weird year. I was heart broken when my dad passed away that year, but a few months later I met my hubby and my life was forever changed. Early 30's are a great time, you really start to know yourself as an "adult" :)

4. If you were a breakfast cereal, which one would you be?

Lucky Charms :) The actual cereal makes you feel like it could be good for you and then toss in all those bright colored marshmallows and it makes it delightful!

5. What is your morning beverage of choice and why?

Coffee!! Any kind of coffee will do. I just need one cup for a caffeine kick to start my day, however I wish I could have a mini Starbucks in my kitchen, so I could have a cafe Mocha anytime :)

Things I will miss about Korea....

Beef and Leaf (okay just the beef and Pork kalbi, not the standard octopus, kimchi, etc that comes along with it)

Chilsung Cider (It's like American Sprite only better)

Korean Coca Cola (yes it tastes better than the states)

Korean McDonalds (also tastes better than the states)

Daiso (it's an amazing dollar store x 1000!)

Convenience store and coffee shops on every corner and I mean every corner

Being able to drag my feet, I'm pretty sure it's socially acceptable to drag your feet here ~ always remember my mom yelling at me to pick up my feet :)

The train! It makes it so easy to get around! (and it's cheap!)

The little kids ~ they are so cute here, all the girls are dressed in pink and the little boys are too LOL I love when they know how to say hello :)

The driving laws, Stop signs and red lights are optional, if no one is coming, you GO!

Skin Food and Face Shop ~ and all the other 5 billion skin care places around

Kiochon wings! They are triple fried and have garlic infused in them :)

Korean cucumbers

Ono's ~ love their wings and melon pops :)

The Ville ~ cheap purses, shoes, jersey's, hats, gloves, socks, movies, video games, knick knacks, mink blankets :)

The fact that Korean's love golf

Being able to talk shit when you are out and about because usually no one knows what the hell you're talking about

The work out equipment that is EVERYWHERE

Happy Wok! American Chinese restaurant with the BEST Jack Daniels Chicken and Pork

Chongs ~ a restaurant with the biggest omelet you will ever see in your life

Hmmmm thats's all I can think of for now, but I will surely add things as I think of them :)
